4/3--A 2 run HR by Adrian Gonzalez (#1) in the top of the 7th gave the Red Sox a 6-2 lead over the Yankees. But, a 3 run rally in the bottom of the inning cut the deficit to 6-5. In the bottom of the 9th, Mitchell Boggs came in to pitch for the Red Sox. Johnny Damon made his Yankees debut, pinch hitting for Brendan Ryan, by doubling. Derek Jeter grounded out, 4-3, sending Damon to 3rd. Mike Trout then tied the game with a triple. Albert Pujols was intentionally walked. Giancarlo Stanton flied out to CF, with Trout easily scoring the winning run. Yankees 7, Red Sox 6. Albert Pujols hit his 1st HR of the year for the Yankees. Red Sox DH David Ortiz was 0 for 5.
