The Rockies finished the season strong going 17-10 in the final month to claim the top record in the majors and their chance to repeat as world champions. Now is the time as they have a number of their young players facing arbitration this season and may not be able to sign all of them and with the All-star studded team they have this year it is the best time to do it.

Before we look at the stats for the regular season the Rockies extended the contract of manager Walt Weiss for 4 more years.
