As much as I appreciate the effort, for now the NHL debut would be a far more reliable alternative. The truth is this is happening all over the place. You have the same issue with Terry Sawchuk in the same year. Every teams in fact has atleast 2-3 players that were still atleast a year or two away from their NHL debut rated ahead of players who really played in the NHL that year.
