Maybe he will land with franchise #14 next year. Any takers? Phillies, Marlins, Orioles?

The amazing thing about Octavio Dotel is that in order to set the record for the most MLB teams played for he neither played a super long amount of seasons or played until he was extremely old by MLB standards. He's played 15 seasons and he set the record in just 14 years when he played for the Tigers at the start of the 2012 season. He also is just 39 years old, not among the five oldest current players, and he is way short of the age or longevity of Mariano Rivera, at age 43 or Jason Giambi, at age 42, both in their 19th seasons. His career might not even be over and he may end up playing for even more franchises in 2014 or beyond. If he is healthy enough, still talented enough, and motivated enough to pitch into his 40s remains to be seen.
