2017 Divisional Round - Colorado Rockies vs. Chicago Cubs

Game 1 - Colorado wins 4-3
The Rockies and Cubs have become very familiar with each other in recent postseasons. In game the Rockies Jose Fernandez got the start and had to pitch out of multiple jams but only gave up 2 earned runs. He left after 5.2 innings and the bullpen came on to pitch 3.1 scoreless innings. On offense got 2 HR's from LF Yasukazu Tsuchiya and 3 RBI's and that was all they really needed.

Game 2 - Colorado wins 10-9 (10 innings)
Game 2 between the 2 clubs was a wild one as the Rockies jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after 3 innings before the Cubs started to get to SP Drew Pomeranz in the 4th scoring 2 runs. RP Chris Withrow took over in the 6th but had a rough outing giving up 4 runs including a 3 run home run in the inning. The teams kept battling after that with the Cubs up 8-6 entering the 9th inning. In the bottom of the 9th the Rockies got a 2 run single from 2B Marco Hernandez which scored 3B Rosell Herrera and PH Glenn Mackie fresh from the DL. Rex Brothers came on to pitch the 10th but gave up a 3-1 solo home run to Matt Szczur giving the cubs a 9-8 lead. In the bottom of the 10th though with 1 out the Rockies got a walk from Jordan Pacheco playing catcher in place of injured Stryker Trahan. RF Carlos Gonzalez followed up with a single. SS Troy Tulowitzki was unable to capitalize as he flew out allow Pacheco to tag up and move to 3rd. Now 2 outs in the inning 3B Rosell Herrera came through hitting a double to deep right center than scored Pacheco and Carlos Gonzalez was called safe on a play at the plate to win the game.

Game 3 - Colorado wins 6-5
Rookie SP Bryant Reed had a rough start to his first playoff game as he lasted just 3.2 innings and gave up 5 runs on 6 hits including 2 home runs. Luckily for the Rockies their bullpen was once again fantastic as they gave up just 1 hit the rest of the way through this game allowing their offense to go to work on Jeff Samarfzija. The Rockies powered their way through the middle innings getting a 2 run HR from 1B Anthony Rizzo in the 4th, a solo HR from 3B Rosell Herrera in the 5th, and a 3 run HR from RF Carlos Gonzalez in the 6th putting them up for good 6-5.

The Rockies will face the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS as they edged out the Phillies in 5 games.
