Season Preview
April 1st, 2018
Spring Record - W - 17 / L - 5
It was a fantastic spring for the Rockies and in the pitching department they had a number of decisions to make and as always we saw a couple of players leave the team due to disappointing springs and no more minor league options. Let's take a look at the moves made followed by our predicting starting lineups.
- The Rockies claimed 23 year old minor league third baseman Ron White from the Atlanta Braves
- The Rockies released RP Sean Burnett and RP Marcus Stroman
The big move came after spring training had concluded as the Rockies traded SP Wilmer Font, 23 year old minor league 3B Ron White and 26 year old minor league SP John Simms to the Atlanta Braves for 23 year old minor league SP Evan Anderson. Anderson was voted the #34 prospect in all of baseball this season and was 12-9 with a 3.62 ERA in AA last season and will start in AAA this year.
