NL West tie after May
June 1st, 2018
W - 33 / L - 21 / Tied with Dodgers

May was not as good a month for the Rockies, they still finished 1 game over .500 with a 15-14 record. The Rockies did get SS Troy Tulowitzki and Jose Soto back from injury thankfully but also by the end of the month made a few small moves on their roster the improve performance. RF Jorge Soler lost his starting outfield job to LF Glenn Mackie. Soler has played in 54 games and is hitting just .179/.259/.557 with 4 HR and 16 RBI. Meanwhile Glenn Mackie, who still qualifies as a rookie is having an absolutely sensational start to the season as he is hitting .270/.341/.613 with a Major league leading 21 HR and 44 RBI on the season.
The Rockies also placed RP Jose Suarez on the 15 day DL and he is expected to miss 4 weeks Shoulder Tendinitis. He was pitching extremely well this season pitching 18.1 innings and had a 1.47 ERA. RP Robert Carson was sent down to AAA for some work as his ERA was close to 9 and in his place Yakmochi Ishida was brought up after the Rockies tested him out in AAA as he was an international free agent this offseason. He has pitched just 3.2 innings so far but has yet to allow a base runner.
