1983 - Seattle Win Streak Over!

With 1 out and the bases loaded, Tim Flannery sent a line drive into left center that Ruppert Jones tracked down but allowed Mitchell Page to score from 3rd to win the game and end Seattle's 11-game winning streak. Mike Witt (4-2) took the loss despite giving up 2 runs on 5 hits in 8.2 IP. Oakland's Walt Terrell (4-1) earned the win with a complete game giving up only 1 run while scattering 8 hits. This is Seattle's first loss in the month of May and their season record of 28-8 gives them a 7-game lead over the White Sox at this early stage of the season. Seattle's 11-game streak bests their 8-game streak that started the year in April.
