Rockies display their power
May 1st, 2019

W - 18 / L - 11 / .5 Game Lead

If the first month is any indication the National League West could turn out to be a dofight as the Rockies sit .5 a game ahead of the Giants and Diamondbacks with the Dodgers and Padres just behind. Rockies pitchers are off to a rough start though with their 2 new rookies having some trouble but showing promise. Their bullpen though is really having a rough go, sitting at worst in the NL so far with only Rex Brothers doing well so far.

The real story of the first month though was the Rockies power, the team hit 55 home runs through their first 29 games good for most in the big leagues. That charge has been led by 2 players off to an absolutely ridiculous start. 1B Anthony Rizzo hit 13 home runs in April but team LF Yasukazu Tsuchiya went ballistic hitting 17 HR and knocking in 46 runs in the first month. Tsuchiya's total puts him way out in front as the next closest besides Rizzo is Bostick from Oakland with 11.

Top Team Performances
