9/22--Matt Cain (7 1/3 IP, 5 H, 2 R/ER, 5 BB, 5 SO) and Buster Posey (3 hits, 1 2B) led the Giants to a 11-2 win over the Yankees. C.C. Sabathia (4 IP, 7 H, 6 R/ER, 7 BB, 6 SO) took a pounding for the Yankees. Since the game was already out of reach, with a 8-2 deficit in the top of the 9th, the Yankees were able to bring in Mariano Rivera to mop up on the day he was being honored at Yankee Stadium. Rivera turned the 8-2 deficit into a 11-2 one, as his ERA rose to 6.00.
