Well, I didn't expect that.
Kevin Kiermaier made his major league debut last night as a 9th-inning defensive replacement (no fielding chances) in the Rays' 163rd game of the season. Failing a special circumstance in the postseason, similar to
Mark Kiger's, Kiermaier will be the last debut this year, leaving 2013 still as sixth-busiest debut year in major league history.
