1983 - Seattle Struggles Continue
June is turning into a month of horrors for Seattle. The month started with a 7-game losing streak which was part of a larger 2-13 stint. We quickly won 3 straight games then lost 3 straight and had our strong 8-game lead dwindle to 1.5 games.
Horrible performances are lead by starter Don Gullet who's 0-1 in his last 3 starts but has only managed 11 innings in those 3 starts while posting a 11.45 ERA. Meanwhile, closer Tom Gorman has blown saves and earned the loss in the last 2 games. In his last 4 appearances, he's given up 5 runs on 10 hits in only 1.2 innings - putrid!
