FOUR CLOSE FINISHES IN IPA
Half of the eight divisions in the Islandian Pro Alliance will go down-to-the-wire... there are only 17 games left on the schedule... in the Ruthlandian North the Far Mountain Redhawks have a seven-game edge over runners-up Ranford, LaGrange and Kilkenny. It's the same situation in the Ruthlandian South, where the Waleska Westerners are seven games up on second place St. John... however, the races in the East and West Divisions are still very much in question... Sugar Valley goes into September with a small two-game lead over Cold Creek in the RU East, while three clubs are still in the fight in the RU West... Sligo is up by three games over second place Fort Benton and four better than Volusia.
Far Mountain broke even for the month with a 14-14 mark in the RU North... Ranford (19-9) and LaGrange (17-11) had hot months and moved up in the standings... Kilkenny was 14-14... in July Waleska (16-12) improved its lead over second place St. John (15-13) in the RU South... in the RU East Cold Creek posted a strong 19-9 month to cut Sugar Valley lead to just two games... the Rattlers were a solid 16-12... in the RU West the Sligo Rovers put up a 17-11 mark for the month... and Fort Benton and Volusia were 16-12.
