Wow..... Just Wow
June 1st, 2022

W - 43 / L - 9 / 13.5 Game Lead

The Rockies in the month of were just absolutely unbelievable even with a couple of key injuries. 1st the big injury was to SP Evan Anderson who tore a ligament in his elbow which ended his season and he MIGHT be back by spring training next year. Before the injury he was 4-1 this year with a 3.98 ERA. Then CF Mike Trout sprained his knee forcing him out about 4 weeks which 1-2 weeks are left on that timetable. To replace Anderson, Jorge Sanchez was promoted and went 3-0 with a 2.76 ERA.

What has been truly amazing though has been LF Yasukazu Tsuchiya who hit 62 Home Runs last year and looks to be aiming for more this year. After just 2 months this season he sits at 31 Home Runs, half of last seasons total in just over 1/3 the amount of games. To put it in perspective he has 31 HR and the second most in the majors is J. Riley of San Diego at 19, the same goes for his RBI's. Tsuchiya has 77 RBI's already, second in the majors is J. Frew of Atlanta with 51.
