ABL NEWS
The Madison Mallards have finished a deal with All-star caliber starting pitcher Jose Polledo that will extend his stay in Madison at least 4 years and will pay out $20 million / $5 million per year.
This year Polledo has recorded a 4-3 mark. In 12 starts he has fanned 55 batters in 81.2 innings with a 2.76 ERA.
Kage’s Reasoning
J. Polledo was going to be entering into his arbitration years, and his estimate for next year was $4.8 million. He is a solid pitcher and I fully expected this number to rise over the next three years. This will lock him at a consistent salary through arbitration and into his first year of free agency.
