It is one of the reasons I've ditched FM altogether. I can toy about with it till I'm blue in the face but every year the minor changes don't require radical strategic change is another year that I'm doing almost the exact same thing with different names and numbers over and over. OOTPD your time will come...but look on the bright side, SCI had me for a long time before I quit.

I'm not so sure of this. With this version in particular, the AI has become harder to beat and if you truly set everything "to maximum," (and by that, I mean not only options like trading difficulty and scouting accuracy but subtle things like realistically and honestly playing within the bounds of "the fog of war"), I am not so sure that you will consistently be able to dominate the game.
No offense meant by that; it's just a general opinion. You may be become bored by it; we all do, even the most rabid fanboys like me (at the present time). Yet, most of us return to the game after hiatus. Perhaps you will be one of those people.
