REMARKABLE RALLIES IN IPA HISTORY
Thirteen years have passed since an IPA team has seemingly done the impossible and has come back to win a playoff series after losing the first three games or dropping three of the first four games. It rarely happens, but it did this year when Cold Creek rebounded from a 3-1 deficit to win three in a row and take the series from the defending IPA champion Ranford Bulls, thus spoiling their chance to repeat. Only four clubs have won back-to-back Pro Cups. Far Mountain accomplished it twice when they took three consecutive IPA titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The Eastshore Elegants did it in 2016 and 2017 and the Tuckanarra Blue Jays repeated in 2023 and 2024.

In the 2035 Tycobbian Union Elite 8 Series Tuckanarra had to rally from an unenviable 3-0 deficit against the Chicopee Braves to move to the next round... the Blue Jays beat the Braves four in a row to avoid elimination... that has happened only three previous times in IPA history... in 2001 by Ginza in the first round... in 2009 by Tuckanarra in the Pro Cup Finals... and in 2015 by Bay St. Clair in opening-round action.

Teams have been down 3-1 on five occasions in the post-season and have come back to take the series... the Far Mountain Redhawks accomplished it in the 2011 Pro Cup Finals, the Kenwood Wildcats did it in the 2014 Pro Cup Finals, the Turon Typhoons pulled off the tough task in 2018 in first round play, Tuckanarra did it in the TU Final 4 in 2028 and Cold Creek came back in the 2041 RU LCS to do it.
