Turns out the Phillies and Tigers played an exhibition at Tiger Stadium on June 18, 1970 - which explains why the famous J.D. McCarthy was able to snag the shot of Byron Browne (and presumably other Phils). 20,000 fans actually attended; it was a charitable game for sandlot ball in Michigan and surrounding states.

Two other items. Has anybody ever seen a 1976 Greg Minton/Giants image? That'd be the black cap/black brim (as opposed to the red brimmed caps they adopted in 1977).

Lastly somebody had asked about a Dick Pole/Red Sox in the pre-red cap days. Here it is (1973 or 1974).
