There used to be quite a few of those type games. I remember going to a game in Houston in 1973(?) during the summer that featured the Astros vs. the Detroit Tigers. It was some type of fund raiser for the Jerry Lewis MD foundation and Jerry Lewis actually played firstbase for the Astros for a few innings. The Reds and Tigers also had an annual game called, as I remember, the Kids Glove game. The proceeds went to buy gloves for young disadvantaged players. Those were the days!
