I remember the Cincinnati Reds being very upset that Bouton pitched against the first place Dodgers during the 1978 pennant chase. The crowd behind Bouton was pretty indicative of a normal Braves crowd in those days. Ted Turner brought us all sorts of tricks and gimmicks, including Jim Bouton, to get us to come to the games
