SF'S WILKERSON CHOSEN 2042 PRO CUP MVP
9-year veteran Jess Wilkerson was chosen the IPA Pro Cup Most Valuable Player for 2042 for his impressive performance in this year's postseason playoffs. He paced the South Fork Stallions to a sweep of the Colfax Blasters, thus giving them their second Pro Cup trophy in the team's history.

The 33-year-old shortstop sparked the Stallions with a .400 batting average in 18 games with 6 doubles, 6 homers, 18 RBIs and 11 runs scored. During the regular season Wilkerson batted .299 with 23 homers and drove in 93 runs. Lifetime he is a .290 hitter.

In the voting conducted by The Islandian Times Wilkerson won by a good margin over teammate Chris Sorensen, who came in second. Sorensen was 4-1 in five starts in the playoffs with a 3.00 ERA. South Fork closer Gary Golden was third in the balloting. He chalked up four saves in five appearances in the postseason and didn't allow a single hit or walk in five innings of relief. Golden retired all 15 batters that he faced.
