IPA 43RD ALL-STAR GAME AT JOCK EWING STADIUM IN SOUTH FORK

RU EDGES TU 6-5 IN 43RD ALL-STAR CLASSIC
Ruthlandia and Tycobbia went back-and-forth trading the lead in the 43rd All-Star Classic at Jock Ewing Stadium in South Fork before the RU Stars put away the TU Stars 6-5 with a two-run eighth inning... 3B Kristian McEly (Colfax) tied it up with a single and 1B Kris Wilson knocked in the deciding run with a sacrifice fly that scored McEly from third... SS John Rodgers (LaGrange) was chosen the game's MVP... Rodgers went 2-for-3, scored a run and drove one in for Ruthlandia... Teddy Twardzik (Valmara) pitched a perfect seventh for the victory, while the loss went to Francisco Salcido (Denton City), who was bashed for two runs and four hits in the fatal eighth.

Ruthlandian broke a two-game losing streak in the mid-summer classic... Tycobbia still has a wide lead in the series overall... they have won 28 of the games with only 15 losses.

Tycobbia took an early 3-0 lead with a single run in the first and two more in the third... Ruthlandia evened it up with three in the fourth and went ahead with another one in the fifth... Tycobbia regained the lead 5-4 with two in the sixth.

It was an exciting game with 25 hits in all... Ruthlandia had 14 and Tycobbia 11... no homers in the game... RF Paolo Teixeira (San Alejo) had two doubles and 2B Pete Arnold (South Fork) a triple for the TU Stars... 1B Jojo DeLucca (Volusia) and 3B Pete Bankston (Ranford) had doubles for the RU Stars... Bankston had two RBIs.
