2043 IPA Pro Cup Final Series - Game Three

HAWKS SMASH VIPERS 10-3, END STREAK AT 10
North Hills finally played like the Pro Cup favorite after two dismal displays of baseball in games one and two... the Hawks smashed Valmara 10-3 in the third game to put an end to their 10-game winning skein in the Pro Cup playoffs... backed by a 13-hit attack, Joey Santini (2-0/2.33) allowed the Vipers three runs and nine hits in a route-going, ragged performance... Santini walked six and struck out 3... Santini (.300) also helped himself in the batter's box, scoring three runs and hitting a home run... Valmara still has the edge in the best-of-seven series two games to one.

Leading the North Hills' hit parade were SS Tommy Vavas (.245) and 3B Jim McDermott (.341) with three hits and two RBIs each... McDermott is now the postseason leader with 12 RBIs... C Timmy Stevens (.404) socked two hits and batted in two runs... LF Adam Thurgood (.286) had two hits and scored twice... and 2B Chris Wilson (.167) collected a pair of hits, including a homer, and scored two runs... the Vipers were paced by 2B John Banks (.273) and SS Antos Dacko (.357) with two hits apiece... the top playoff producers for Valmara are Dacko and 1B Cain Greene (.356), both with 11 runs batted in... CF Don Ritchie (.362) is next on the club with 10.
