Seems to me the salary demands of players is based PURELY on their ability/potential rather than actual performance/experience.
And I agree, 22 yr old with no NHL experience should not be demanding 4+ mil/year, same as the goalie is out of whack with reality as well.

Not only but very heavily. The main problem is that (good) performance is factored in (raising the demand) but not the other way around. We made some changes in this area now and wait for the beta test feedback if it works better now, otherwise we will tweak it a bit more.
