A'S-RATTLERS, SUN SOX-RED SOX VIE IN LCS SAT
This Saturday it's the IPA League Championship Series... and not even Hollywood could have scripted it better... the IPA still has the number one and number two clubs still in the running for the Pro Cup crown... and last year's champ is still in the quest... the Glasco Athletics, ranked first in The Islandian Times Pro Cup poll, hosts the number six Sugar Valley Rattlers in the Ruthlandian League Championship Series... last year's winner, the Southport Sun Sox, picked fourth in the poll, entertains the record-setting, homer-happy Red Bluff Red Sox for the Tycobbian title... the Red Sox were the fourth choice to take the Pro Cup trophy this year.
All four clubs played well in first-round action... Glasco whipped number-seven pick Claxton in six games... Sugar Valley upended number three Middlefield in an exciting seven-game series... Southport demolished number five North Hills in five games... and Red Bluff took a thriller from eighth-ranked Kenwood in seven games.
Glasco has solid pitching and solid bats... Sugar Valley has home-run power... Southport has sensational pitching... and Red Bluff has record-setting firepower... the oddsmakers are going with the Athletics over the Rattlers and the Sun Sox are favored to take the Red Sox.
