Does anybody have anything for Bob "Leroy" Powell of the White Sox? He
passed away April 26. He spent a little over a year on the major league roster, but only got into 2 games (both as a pinch runner). Such were the bonus rules of the day. A site search here turned up empty (though it could be I just don't know how to search properly) and the rest of the net only turns up his Topps baseball card (which he hated), a poor scan of a JD McCarthy postcard, and a newswire picture (but which one is he, I couldn't say). The latter two are attached.
