Yeah, I definitely understand that. Honestly I'm not sure what I was thinking when I started in 1871, because that was too early, and at the time I wasn't too comfortable with schedules, so I was kind of forced to go with the NFL structure. Really the whole concept of this is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.
I've learned a lot about schedules in the meantime, so I think if I'd start now I could have chosen an alternative path, but I've gotten too attached to some of the players to do a fast forward or fresh start. There's definitely some benefits to having a plan before you start, and I definitely jumped into this one without much planning.
So I definitely appreciate the feedback, but I guess I've backed myself into a corner with this one, so I could continue with a hybrid, move to the all NFL structures, or start fresh. While the third option is probably the best, I'm not ready to do that because I feel too invested to the current batch of players. So I think the best option is just to go for it and move to the current NFL nicknames.
