ABC East

We begin this week in Buffalo, where the Bills improved to 5-0 with a 12-6 win over the Titans to remain the only undefeated team in the league. SS Randy Mobley had a big game for the Bills going 4-5 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored on offense. Starting pitcher Zach Graziano also swung a hot bat going 2-4 with a home run and 4 RBI, and allowed just 2 earned runs in the complete game win.

The Patriots moved over .500 on the year with a 4 run ninth inning to edge out the Jets 4-3. Pitcher Jaimie Biernat singled home the final run of the game to earn his third win of his season.

ABC North

Jim Britt of the Ravens won for the third time this season, despite 8 Raven errors. Britt allowed 9 hits and 2 earned runs, while Dave Foutz picked up 3 hits and drove in 3 runs while scoring two more.

The first place Chargers have a bye week this week, which can be a bad thing for a team playing well. 2B Jimmy Wood is leading several offensive categories this year with a .529 batting average, 1.000 slugging percentage, and 3 triples. The 32 year old is almost single handedly carrying the Chargers offense, which is ranked 11th in the ABC.

ABC South

The Colts and Jaguars faced off in a 1-0 divisional battle with Dave Cartwright of the Jaguars pitching a complete game 4 hit shutout with 4 strikeouts and was named ABC Player of the Week for his efforts. Fred Dunlap doubled in the only run of the game for the Jaguars.

NBC East

Cameron Cotter pitched his best game of the season going 8 innings while allowing 4 hits and 2 runs, but it wasn't enough as the Cowboys fell 2-1 to the Giants. The Cowboys' offense was shut down by Al Atkinson and they stranded 10 men on base.

NBC North

Jim Conway of the Bears is just 24 years old, but continues to pitch like a veteran as he allowed just 2 runs in the Bears 4-2 win over the Vikings. Conway won his second game of the year while dropping his ERA to 2.14 for the year. Mike Iorio and Doug York each added two hits for the Bears.

NBC West

39 year old Scott Young continues to prove he's not ready to surrender his starting pitcher's job to Guy Hecker just yet, winning for the third time this year as the Cardinals improved to 4-0 on the year with an 8-7 win over the winless Rams. Young was plagued by poor defense, with the Cardinals committing 11 errors in the game, including 3 by second baseman Mike Smith.

Aaron Jackson rebounded from a poor start last week and held the Falcons to just three hits as he won the NBC Player of the Week, and the Saints improved to 4-1 on the season. Chris Fulmer drove in 2 runs for the Saints.
