Things to keep in mind:

The larger the league, the larger the league file will become over time. Depending on your system, it may slow the game a little when playing as the amount of data it has to process, write, and save increases.

The beauty of OOTP is its customization. You have the ability to create almost any type of league your imagination can come up with.

If you haven't played OOTP at all in the past, I'd suggest creating a small fictional league at first and run it for a few seasons to get a feel for the game. This will give you a better idea of the games capabilities and how big you wish to get.

Best wishes to your Dad.
What I meant to say was, I wanted to do expansion teams for the American League and National League, each of which have 15 teams, for a total of 30 teams. Do you think I should have 2 16-team leagues, 2 18-team leagues, or 2 20-team leagues?
