With a 6-4 win over the Bengals the Cardinals improved to 9-0 for the year. The Cardinals jumped out to an early 6-0 lead after the first three innings with six separate hitters driving in a run and held off the Bengals seventh inning rally to win.
Scott Young won his seventh game of the year while striking out 5 Bengals.
The Lions remained just one game back for the best record in the NBC with a 4-1 11 inning win over the Bears. The Lions took advantage of four 11th inning errors by the Bears to score 3 runs and win the game.
Sam Johnson pitched the complete game to improve to 8-1 on the season, allowing 7 hits while striking out 3 and walking just 1 batter.
Ned Williamson picked up 3 hits and drove in 2 runs as the Panthers won a 10-6 shootout over the Buccaneers to also move to 8-1 on the year and open up a two game lead over the Saints, who fell 5-4 to the Jaguars.
Jumbo Davis drove in 2 runs for the Jaguars who won their 5th game of the year and are tied with the Texans for the ABC South lead.
Two division leaders had a week 10 bye, the NBC East leading Giants (5-4), and the ABC North leading Ravens (6-3).
Pat Luhmann hit an 11th inning home run as the Patriots knocked off the Vikings 5-4 to take a one game lead in the ABC East.
Bill Kuehne hit an 11th inning single and scored the winning run for the Broncos in their 10-9 win over the Chargers. It was Kuehne's second hit of the game and the 24 year old is hitting .341 for the season with 7 RBI.
