So, I'm wanting to design a fictional league in which all of the players are MLB players. My goal is to basically do an offline fantasy league, where friends will draft teams, make roster changes, etc., but only by telling me.

My question is this: how do I get real players in a purely fictional league? Or do I just create an MLB league and then edit it to get rid of the things we don't want (minor leagues for one; this will be a one season experiment to see what happens)?
