I was called into a meeting with general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager Bo Porter today. They didn't beat around the bush: I am a major leaguer.
To start out, I will be the team's primary middle relief arm. The fifth and sixth innings will usually be mine, if needed. Any role, as of right now, is perfectly fine by me.
Seems the rest of the guys were in on the news before I was, because they were waiting outside the door with congrats and a few good-natured ribs. I had to do a couple interviews, too.
I don't think this has sunk in yet. It may not for a while.
