April 12, 2014 -- Rangers (2-3) at Astros (3-1)

I was a spectator once again, and am wondering if I'll even get to pitch during this homestand. It's really frustrating, far more so than I expected. The guys can tell, and several of them have told me to stay patient, but I think even they are wondering why the organization isn't letting me get experience donwn on the farm, now that I'm not really needed here.

Ian Kennedy was fantastic for us (7 innings, 3 hits, 1 run, 3 walks, a franchise single-game record 13 Ks). Unfortunately, he got hit with the loss because we were clueless against Yu Darvish (7 innings, 1 hit, 0 walks, 4 Ks) and lost 4-0. We got one other hit off Carlos Marmol, and that was it.

Edward Mujica had a rough outing in relief, allowjng RBI singles to Lorenzo Cain (who drove in a baserunner Kennedy allowed) and Jurickson Profar in the seventh, and a two-run homer to Torii Hunter in the eighth.
