Wade Miley gave up two-run homers to Mike Morse in the first and Justin Smoak in the seventh, while Dillon Gee took a two-hit shutout into the eighth for the M's. We knocked Gee out with two singles to start the eighth but only scored one run in the frame. Seth Smith's RBI double in the ninth gave Seattle a 5-1 lead.
We made it interesting in the bottom of the ninth, with Justin Maxwell's two-run homer and doubles by Jason Castro and Matt Dominguez cutting the lead to 5-4 and getting the crowd into it. But a strikeout sent the fans home disappointed, and we lost 2 of 3 in the series.
