Game 8: Houston (5-2) at Toronto (4-3)
Toronto 10, Houston 9
The Blue Jays combined for six home runs, including two apiece from Edwin Encarnacion and Colby Rasmus. However, Houston rallied from an early 7-0 deficit (all runs charged to Brett Oberholtzer) to tie it at nine in the seventh with a two-run single from Matt Dominguez. Reliever Anthony Bass gave up a solo home run to Rasmus in the bottom half of the frame and Toronto snapped a three-game win streak.
WP: E. Rogers (1-0), BS (1)
LP: A. Bass (0-1)
SV: S. Santos (3)
On a side note, Jason Castro, Jose Altuve and Jonathon Villar all hit home runs. Dominguez, who's hitting just .103 on the season, came up with a clutch two-out RBI double- potential turnaround? Altuve is now hitting .382 on the season. He did pick up his third stolen base but was also caught stealing.
Record: 5-3
