Elbert "Al" Isreal, C/INF, is shown in the uniform of the 1954 Savannah A's minor league team. Elbert played for the 1950 Philadelphia Stars in the Negro Leagues. Note that the spelling of his surname is indeed Isreal, not Israel like the name of the country. Similarly, his brother, Clarence "Pint" Isreal played in the Negro Leagues. Both their names are misspelled frequently.
