It's totally dumb and unrealistic. A game that prides itself on realism cant' get this most-basic thing right. Too many whiners around here I guess. When I play Crusader Kings, trust me, I don't break down and start crying when my king dies. I doubt it's because people will get hurt. More likely it's because the death of a coach/player really has zero affect on the game. It may even be a coding issue (has Markus ever given a reason?). Again, I could care less either way if my coach/player dies, but I don't think whiners wanting them to live has anything to do with it.
