The league had an error, but I just shoot for Joe McCarthy's records and start new careers every 24 years.
I mean, would it be NICE as an option for my character to retire of his own volition once he's passed a certain age? Sure, I'd actually click that on, the way I play (as long as I retain the right to make a new character and continue, of course.)
The way I look at it is that this isn't one of those games we can "go pro" in. If you break Joe McCarthy's records in a reasonable challenge, I will call you a mans man.
