About the Topps Vault:
The only way I know to obtain images from this chest of wonders is via their e-Bay store, and all images there are identified. Is there another method by which they release images, where identities are not made known (I ask because of the frequent requests here to ID some players in Vault images)? Also, I check the Vault frequently, but a number of images I've seen here I don't recall having seen there. So, is there some other way they release images?
Also - maybe this isn't the right place, but could someone please explain all the possible proof variations available for typical cards of the 70s-80s? Has Topps ever published a list of the, I don't know, 10 different possible variations of a 1978 card? Just when I think I have a handle on it, I see something called a slick proof...what the heck is that?
