I want to return the favor, but some images I have scanned out of old Braves yearbooks won't cooperate by letting me insert or paste them. Can somebody direct me to a tutorial about downloading or pasting photos?

Merkle is correct, we generally reserve this thread for major league players. We have a dedicated thread for career minor leaguers
here. Coaches, managers, umpires and Negro Leaguers all have their own threads, which you can find linked in my signature lines.
As for posting images,
