Thanks for the good words about the dynasty!

Palace came into the League with the absorption of the Southern League clubs to form the Third Division in 1920 season. They had been in the Southern League since 1910. Winners for the Southern League cup in 1910, they immediately fell on hard times, finishing with a .500 season only in 1919 season. This persisted until 1923, when they began to show a little life by finishing 4th. They placed 8th in both 1924 and 1925.

Their greatest player all time is Tom Newington, still young at age 25. He's the all time leader for the club in runs scored, triples, batting average and VORP. He also won a Fieldsman of the Year award at second base in 1923.

Their greatest pitcher to date is William Crabtree, a 34 year old southpaw from the Southern League days, having begun his career in 1914. He was 24-7 with a 2.36 ERA during their 1923 season. He will probably be eclipsed by Freddie Hall, though. Hall is a 25 year old right-hander who also won 21 in 1923, but he is off to a start that will probably give him a better career in short order than Crabtree, who also missed four years to the war.

Here are the club's overall record, leading hitters, and pitching register, which covers their time in the League between 1920 and 1925.
