SEPTEMBER STRETCH DRIVE IN IPA
Not a lot will be decided down the September drive in the IPA... most of the races have pretty much been determined... in the Ruthlandian Union only one race is in doubt... Middlefield has a one-game lead over Forest City in the RU West... and in the Tycobbian South a couple of divisions have to be decided... Southport has taken over the lead from defending champ San Alejo by 5 games in the Tycobbian South... and in the Tycobbian East it's a three-team affair with East Point having a 3-game edge on the Midway Wolves and 5 over the defending division champion Tuckanarra Blue Jays... should they hold the lead, this will be the Panthers' first pennant in 13 years.

Reigning Pro Cup champ Valmara tops the Ruthlandian North by a 6-game margin over runner-up Ranford... St. John is pretty safe with a 9-game edge over Crystal Lake in the Ruthlandian South... and Sugar Valley is 8 games up on Belle Plaine in the RU East and appears to be headed to its third successive division title.

The White River Rascals have demoralized the Tycobbian North, piling up a 28-game lead over second place Hartsdale... it will be the Rascals third straight division title... Bay St. Clair is very close to clinching the TU West with a 13-game bulge over Rolling Hills... the Buccaneers won the division crown last year.
