Thanks, UK for the photo of Al Veigel. I used to see his name on Wikipedia's oldest living baseball players list all the time. He must have been among the 5 or 10 oldest living ballplayers until he passed away at age 95 in April 2012.
In addition, he was among the 5 last survivors of 1930s major leagues baseball. Today there is only one living individual who played major leagues baseball in the 1930s: Hall Of Fame 2nd Baseman, Bobby Doerr.
