Mack Jones was a kid coming home. He even had his own radio show. But a bad shoulder limited his time in the South, so he went to Montreal where he was even more popular. Died too young.
Menke was the Braves last bonus baby. Versatile, always servicable, he reached all-star status after leaving Atlanta.
Everyone loved Pat Jarvis, enough to elect him DeKalb County sheriff. Too bad he turned out to be a corrupt sleaze that wound up in Federal prison.
Seems like here and elsewhere Marty Keough's '66 Braves image is scarce. Well, here is one, in true color.
Captain Eddie: what can you say? Arrived one year too late, but later the Braves' manager when Aaron broke Ruth's record and later a Hall of Famers in his own right.
