3-TEAM RACE IN RUTHLANDIAN NORTH
After three months of play it looks like a three-team tussle in the Ruthlandian North between surprising Glasco, Pro Cup champion Valmara and Ranford... picked for fifth place the Glasco Athletics have kept up with Vipers and they even have a one-game lead at the end of June... the Ranford Bulls are still in the hunt, trailing by just five games... it was four-team battle until the LaGrange Sports slumped this month... both Glasco and Valmara have tremendous pitching and the Bulls have the bats... this trio of clubs seem to be the class of the Ruthlandian Union this year... though the Sugar Valley Rattlers of the RU East and the Middlefield Roosters of the RU West might have a say in the matter come playoff time.
WALESKA TOPS ST. JOHN BY 4 IN RU SOUTH
Preseason favorite Waleska so far is living up to its billing with a four-game edge over last year's division champ St. John Crusaders... they look like the main conterders... in third and fourth place the Valka Blackhawks and Claxton Diamonds are quite a way back, eight and nine games off the pace of the leaders... neither the Westerners, nor the Crusaders are expected to do well in the postseason.
