Otto Neu 1917
July 10, 1917, and Otto Neu plays an inning at shortstop for the St. Louis Browns.
And that's his whole career.
He was a 22-year old from Canton, and since there are no minor league records for him, there's reason to believe he played amateur ball and was getting a quick "he's here, let's see what he can do" tryout. Depicted in a Cleveland uniform and with the marking "3-12-20" on the back of the print, suggesting he went to Spring Training with the Indians that year.
