Merkle, first glad to see you back on the forum! Your insight and images are always appreciated. I love the JD McCarthy images that are on the internet and have always been curious about them. You mentioned you have a collection of his prints/negatives(?) I am a fanatic about posed full body images and he was the master of these. Brace did the same but not nearly as clear and crisp. Are the B&W images in color also or did he do some of both? Did he try to get all of the players that came through Detroit or was it a random selection? I have seen stars and obscure players done by him. From Mickey Mantle to the above posted Steve Hargan. Would love to know more about this important photographer and what is out there of his that many of us have yet to see.
