2051 IPA PRO CUP SERIES: Game 3
HILBURN GIVES ARLON THE SERIES LEAD
So far in the IPA Pro Cup Finals all three games have ended up shutouts with Arlon taking two of the three games... on the road at Westerner Field, J. C. Hilburn hurled a 3-0 gem, stopping hometown Waleska on six hits to give the Champs the series' lead... Hilburn (2-2/2.57) tossed eight and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball, needing relief for the final out.
Shut out and held hitless for the first six innings by Kenny Foster, Arlon finally broke loose for three runs in the top of the seventh... two errors and a wild pitch accounted for the first run of the game... the Champions took the lead without the benefit of a hit... then three back-to-back base hits sent them ahead 3-0, getting RBIs from C Landon Moore (.182) and Hilburn (.308)... losing pitcher Foster (0-1/0.00) didn't allow an earned run in his six and two-thirds innings... he gave up only three hits, struck out five and walked two.
