I just dinked around for a few hours, and then GM'ed the Twins through the first 43 games, when I noticed my two bench infielders had been healthy and on the roster all season and accrued a combined 14 plate appearances, exclusively as subs for players who got injured. The entire depth chart was filled out with "If starter tired" which doesn't get them any playing time at all. I looked around and the pattern followed across the league and up and down the minors, with only the occasional player scheduled to be subbed out once a week or less.

Not sure what I'm missing here! It can be fussy trying to get the AI to use the roster exactly the way you want them to, but I've never seen it that dramatic before. Usually it's because you're carrying a crummy hitter who only plays 1B in no-DH leagues that end up with odd numbers like that.
