I thought we would start getting some complaints about contracts
First off, I've done/am doing some work on adjusting demands this week, so hopefully the next patch things should be a little more reasonable.
Next off, there were a lot of changes to arbitration-eligible guys, so you can no longer simply sign away all their arbitration years for really cheap. I know past versions it would always be the case that if a guy wanted a 4M arbitration, I could always get him for 3-4 years at 4-5M per year, even if that ate some FA years. Those deals just don't exist in real life, but you should be able to sign guys to deals like the Yelich and Dozier type deals, where you do still get a discount over their year to year prices, but it's not a total ripoff.
It's hard to balance, because for every guy who asks for 30+M, I do find guys who seem to come in way cheaper than they "should" get, so it's not a case where we just need to drop demands for everyone. And we need to have a way so that the truly upper tier guys (Kershaw, Felix, Stanton, Trout) DO get the 30+M, but the next tier of guys still get down.
And for everything, remember that a guy might ask for 25M, but that doesn't mean that's the minimum he'd sign for.
